Not shy anymore......

This pic is from 4th Grade. My teacher was Mrs. Rowe and I went to Edgemont Elementary. I remember playing hopscotch with my friend Pam Kiger, during the recess period and sometimes we'd play marbles. During 4th grade, all the girls got excited, not the boys, because once a month a man would come and teach us square dancing. Oh well, now you would say, who does square dancing anymore, or what a hick.....I just remember it was so much fun. My first boyfriend was in my class; Tick (Ralph) Olsen. He liked me so much, when Mrs. Rowe went out of the classroom, he and I got in her coat closet and he kissed me on the cheek. Then, he had a ring and put it on a string around my neck and said we were going steady. When I got home, My Dad said, "What's that around your neck?" I told him I was going steady with a boy in my class and he told me to give it right back the next day and tell the boy my dad wouldn't let me go steady with him. He was sad, but we still liked eachother, but never did I get another kiss.
