OUR FIRST TRY AT TAKING OUR PICTURE

FATHER'S DAY AND MY BIRTHDAY....

We were totally goofy all day, and Kay is not too thrilled having his picture taken, so he dived into the grapes, a little too far. We had so much fun with our kids and grandkids and my sis, Cyndee, who all came over for a barbecue to celebrate the occasions.

Our Prophet

I was so grateful to the have the opportunity to hear our President talk to us today. He helped me to further realize what is most important in my life and that I should choose to pay attention to what is missing in my life. He told us to appreciate our blessings, despite our challenges and to always thank our Father in Heaven, for all the happiness and blessings we have, but it is he who is responsible for giving us. I will try very hard to live my life with gratitude to my Father In Heaven for all he has given to me, even during all challenges I have had in my life. I so love this Prophet!

AUNT MELDA

It was such a joy to go and visit Aunt Melda at her Rest Home. She was so excited to see us, she jumped up to her walker and told us she wanted to walk with us. She took us down to the "therapy room" where she proceded to get on a machine and work the pedals and arms. She is 98 years old and doing fantastic. She's feisty and doesn't like her roommate. We are considering taking Elva down to Melda's place to live and they can share a room. Elva isn't doing so well and we feel her quality of life will be much better with her sister to visit with. Again, it's all about Sisters, keeping in touch, and how good they can make you feel when you are really down. Love It!!!!

8. Your less-responsible sister was not asked to watch your parents' house while they were out of town. She finds out they asked you. How do you explain that to her?
a. Just give her the brutal truth. They don't trust her.
b. Lie and tell her that they didn't ask me, so I don't know why she's so upset.
c. Break it to her gently, but tell her that I told Mom and Dad that she is more responsible than they think.

9. After a rough breakup, you notice that your sister is rebounding a bit too much. What do you say to her?
a. I'd warn her of the consequences her actions can bring.
b. Tell her she's being a hooch and unless she wants an STD or a baby, she needs to stop.
c. Explain that while I understand her situation, she should take a look at what she's doing. It's really not her and she doesn't want anything bad to come of it. I'd make sure to tell her I'm just saying it because I love her.

10. If your sister got into trouble with the law, would you help her out or rat her out?
a. Our parents think she's perfect, so I'd totally rat her out. Maybe they'll be easier on me if they realize she isn't so perfect after all.
b. I wouldn't tell our parents, but I'd talk to her about why she did what she did. To me, getting her to understand what she did wrong is helping her out.
c. That's interesting.....she has ratted me out a few times. I just might......

What a great dad

Adam is always giving me those looks when I want to take his picture. He's such a great dad! We had so much fun at the party. They had appetizers of coconut shrimp, ribs and teriaki chicken strips. The main course was Teriaki Chicken, Coconut Rice, Scewered beef and veggies. For dessert there was the huge cake which was chocolate with banana filling! What a treat. Joanne, as usual, organized everything and it turned out so perfectly! Adults were greeted with shell leis and the children had paper flower leis!
