My sister, Cyndee

This picture was taken a number of years ago when we were looking different from today, and we were at Paps Bar and Grill. But, we're headed for the windy city again, to do some more Kareokeing at Paps again, eat some great Chicago food, and visit with my kids and grandkids. We'll be "leaving on a jet plane" on the 30th of July. We both understand that this is the hottest and muggiest (humidity is as high as the temperature) time of the year, but we have a reason for going. It will be my grandson's 1st birthday and Joanne and Adam are having a huge luau for his celebration. Joanne and Lesli will be entertaining us with their Polynesian dancing, along with other members of Chris' entertainment group. Chris has been so busy with his business, and pitching in with the fire knife dance, that he will be busy with his own shows elsewhere and probably won't be able to attend, except for maybe the first part of the party. Lesli has an agenda set up for us, which should include going to "Won Ton" (my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the burbs), going to Arlington Race Track, going to the August Fest on Sunday, which Chris and his whole group will be entertaining at, of course, going to Paps, and "chillin" almost every day, aside from eating and sleeping. I'm sure we'll be hanging out wherever the A/C is, but we are both looking forward to this trip. We're packing light, because it will be so hot, and can't wait to get to the airport to fly out.

Looking forward to having you guys come out! I'm totally stressed planning this party (but it's a good stress and Spencer is worth every gray hair). I'm so excited and just hope that everyone has a great time. It's so awesome that you guys are taking the time and expense to come out to celebrate with us - it really means a lot and I just hope you have a good time! I'm so excited about performing at the Augustfest - I've always wanted to! I told the school that this is how I will be volunteering my time to the festival - our school/church's biggest fundraiser. I can't wait to share that with you too.

See you in 24 days!!!
