It's been years since we have gotten together with Kay's family. I'm sorry to say that Kay's Mom is now in a rest home. In support of this change in her life, Kathryn came up from Bryce Canyon to help out. She stayed with us this week and we went through quite a few of Elva's papers and took care of business concerning her move. After the week was nearly over, I had Gary and Marilyn over for a barbecue on Friday and we talked and caught up on so many things. On Saturday, (because we needed a break), Kathryn and I went shopping and bought some new clothes for Elva, and did a little shopping for ourselves. It was a very fun day, ending with a Chinese dinner on Saturday night. It's now Sunday morning early, and I'm feeling sad that Kathryn is leaving our home to go back to her hubby, Doyle. She has never stayed with us and this week has truly been one that I'll never forget. Kathryn works at "The Pines" hotel in Bryce Canyon, and Kay and I have decided that for our 19th Anniversary in August, we would go and stay in one of the cottages at the hotel, then we'll stay with Kathryn and Doyle for a night or two. It was so good seeing her and being together with Gary and Marilyn again, even with the circumstances which brought us all together.

You both have been so patient with Elva. I'm very impressed with the manner in which you both have held your own during this; Kay especially. If anything comes from this, it would be the growth of love and respect between the two of you.

It has brought us even closer. We are both doing well, but very, very tired this week. Thanks son.
