After I took this video, I realized how our children knew how sad we may feel when we had to leave them with someone while we went to work. Phoenix had in her mind that her parents would see this video and know that they are thinking of their mom and dad, but that mom and dad can be happy knowing the kids are ok and are happy.
During the time with the girls, I also realized how wonderful it is, not just for me, but for Kay, to be retired and be able to spend time with the girls. I made another video, which, for some reason I can't download. It was of Kay, laying on the bed and Phoenix sitting in Papa's chair in our bedroom. They were watching a cartoon of a "Cinderella" type story and while Papa ate his tootsie roll pop and Phoenix was eating her "Tinkle" (Twinkie) they both were commenting on the cartoon. It was amazing to me that these two human beings, generations apart, could be on such a level as to respect and communicate on the same level. It was also amazing to me that Kay, would even watch this cartoon with her! Maybe it was just the mood I was in or something, but it brought tears of laughter as well as a feeling of well-being with my grandchildren. Before all this, we were outside once again, blowing bubbles and Papa literally made the best bubbles and entertained us all. He even told Phoenix he was Harry Potter, as he would flail his arm around with the bubble blower and bubbles would appear as if by magic! I am so proud that Kay has connected with my grandkids here in Utah, so well that Phoenix goes home and imitates her Papa when she's playing by herself. She asks questions pretending like he's there in the room and then answers the questions, imitating Papa's way of answering. (Sarah clued me in on that one). I know he loves Phoenix and Ave and has such a great relationship with them. I only wish my other grandchildren could be close so they could also experience how fun and humorous he is. Thanks so much for being a wonderful Papa, Honey!

I'm so glad we get to watch our grandkids. I would much rather have them bring them to our place than have strangers watch them. At least you know they're getting lots of love!!!
