Happy 34th Birthday, Lesli Kay

Yes, well, I still haven't been able to explain why I had any kids around Christmas, but it just so happened I had 3, Joe on the 15th, Lesli on the 16th and then Adam, right after Christmas on the 4th of January. Man, oh, man, I always felt bad for them because it was so close to Christmas. But, I remember well, Lesli's birth; I was ready for a girl and had two boys prior to her. It was a dangerous birth, however, and I lost a lot of blood. After her birth, my Mom and sister came into my room. I was laying on a gurney with no color in my face or arms. They truly thought I was dead. Friends and family donated blood, so it wouldn't cost so much to replenish mine. I was tickled plum to death when I finally got my "girl". Herm was away in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, doing an entertainment job. We called and he was so excited to come home long enough to see his daughter and gather our little family up and go to Canada. Lesli has been a remarkable person to me. It's not just because she is my daughter. Others feel the same exact way about her. She is the most unselfish, giving, self-assured, kind person I HAVE EVER MET. She always thinks of the other person before ever considering herself. She has actually TAUGHT ME so much, I can't even begin to tell you. I have been surprised, over and over again, at the calls I have received from her asking me to go with her on a little "jaunt". We have been to Vegas together, Hawaii (the year after her wedding was there), and Mexico. Those were the absolutely funnest trips I have ever been on. The quality time we had together on all three, was amazing. I am so close to Lesli and feel every bad or good feeling she goes through. It truly feels that way. She has never let me down and always is so respectful to me, no matter what. She is my little princess and always will be. I love you so much, Les, and am so absolutely happy God gave me you to have for a daughter. I can never be grateful enough, and will always be thankful for your sweet smile and your giving heart. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!

Made me cry like a baby ma. That was so nice of you to write all that nonsence about me. Hehe. What you failed to put in this article is that all of these good qualities that you claim I have, all came from YOU. Love you. Thanks again.
