Our Bike Ride to Vernon

Today we went on another bike ride. We traveled to Vernon, Ut. which is along the Pony Express trail. This is the monument commemorating the trail. Along the way, we saw antelope, 2 wild dogs, and a coyote. It's unusual to see these animals at the time we were on the ride. We got some sun and had lunch at the same little restaurant that was in the film, "The Fastest
Indian", staring Anthony Hopkins. It was a really great movie and you should all rent it. It's about an older man who wants to break the speed record for the "Indian" motorcycle, which he has fixed up himself and raced people in Australia. He comes to Utah, to the Salt Flats and ships his bike to America along with him. His adventures along the way to the Salt Flats are sometimes hysterical and he does a great job acting in this movie. SEE IT. It's a really swell "feel good" movie. Our bike trip is the second of this summer. We're behind, so we'll be catching up on them and posting some of the places we go.
