OUR WEDDING DAY
On August 26, 1989, 19 years ago, Kay and I took the plunge. We did the Marriage Certificate thing and "did our thing". We have had our ups and downs, but have survived many of the roadblocks we've faced (normal). Next Friday we are leaving for Bryce Canyon, a place we both love to visit and stay in. We're staying in a cabin down there and then staying with Kathryn, Kay's sister who lives nearby. We're going four-wheelin' and always have a great time. I want to take this moment to tell my hubbie how much I love him
. Our marriage was made in heaven and we are both happy in our lives. A lot has changed, but we've grown more experienced and realize that marriage is such a strong commitment and you just don't throw it away that easily. It takes hard work and a lot of patience and love. I know we are both commited to making eachother happy and that's why it works. In our retirement, we have grown even closer and in talking with a friend of mine, she has repeatedly said she was "tired of being with her husband all the time in their retirement". I'm so glad it's not like that for us. Hoorah and I pray we have many more years together!
