My Oldest Grandson turning 6!

It's hard to believe that this little beanie is now 6 years old. He's been attending kindergarten and is grown up beyond his 6 years. When I called yesterday morning to sing the "Happy Birthday" song to him, he patiently listened and then thanked me. I was amazed he didn't hand the phone back to his dad. Adam told me this year he didn't want a cake, he wanted cornbread. So that's what he got. For his special birthday dinner, he wanted bacon and rice. His "Samoan Uncle Joe" told me, "Yep, that's a real Samoan for ya"! When Adam was this age, his favorite birthday dinner was Pizza Bagels, and that's what he got. I went "retro" with our birthday gift for him this year. I bought a couple DVDs of "HOWDY DOODY" because that's what I watched when I was Jakob's age. I told Adam I wanted to see how well that entertained kids 50's years later. I hope it's not boring for you beanie, but Grandma remembered how much you loved robots and included one of those in your birthday gift as well; just in case the DVDs didn't work for ya! I love you Jakob! We hope your birthday was a happy, fun, and loving one for you! We miss you!
